HANUMAN WE ADORE

Hanuman, the glorious, speaks

dehabuddhya tu daasosmi
jivabuddhyaa twasdamshakah I
atmabuddhya twamevaham
iti me nischita matih II

(Sri Hanumanji, the greatest devotee of Lord Sri Rama, worshipped his Lord with the attitude of a servant and by the servant-Master attitude, attained such a lofty plane in the spiritual sphere that, when he was once asked by Lord Rama as to who he was, he boldly replied as follows):

"When I identify myself with the body, O Lord, I am Your humble servant. When I identify myself with the individuality, I am a part of you. But when I identify myself with the atman, I am Thyself. This is my firm conviction."
